The Dashboard (Home Screen) is your central command center in ClassMate. It aggregates all essential academic information so you can see what is happening right now and what is coming next at a single glance.
Dashboard Sections Explained
- Header & Date Banner: Displays today's date and a welcoming greeting to start your day.
- Active / Next Class Hero Card: If you are currently in a class session, ClassMate highlights the course with a high-contrast card showing room location, instructor, and remaining time. If no class is in session, it automatically previews your next upcoming lecture today.
- Quick Action Shortcuts: Rapidly tap + Add Class or + Add Task without leaving the dashboard.
- Today's Classes Timeline: A chronological list of all lectures scheduled for today. Tapping any class navigates directly to the full Schedule screen.
- Upcoming Tasks: A clean list of pending assignments sorted by urgency. Each card displays the task title, associated course, due date, time, and priority badge.
- Deadlines Countdown: An interactive horizontal carousel calculating exactly how many days or hours remain before major deadlines and exams.
