PicPress Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Kolibri handles information when you use PicPress, an Android app with the tagline Compress & Convert Images. PicPress is designed to compress and convert images offline.

1. Developer and privacy contact

App: PicPress
Developer: Kolibri
Email: kolibri.jhonyclin@gmail.com
Website: https://kolibriindonesia.com/

2. Information PicPress accesses

To provide its core functions, PicPress can access image files that you select through the Android file picker. Information that may be read from a selected file includes:

  • Image content to create thumbnails and process the image.
  • Filename, format, file size, dimensions, and available photo metadata, including EXIF orientation.
  • The output location in the DCIM/PicPress folder.

PicPress does not require an account, name, email address, contacts, camera, microphone, GPS, or device location for image compression and conversion.

3. How image data is used

Image files and metadata are used only to:

  • Display the selected image list and thumbnails.
  • Correct image orientation using EXIF so photos are not displayed upside down.
  • Resize, compress, or convert images according to your settings.
  • Show Before and After information on the Result page.
  • Save a new file on the device and provide it as an attachment when you choose Share.

These operations take place locally on the device. PicPress does not upload images, thumbnails, photo metadata, or history to a PicPress server.

4. Metadata and history

PicPress attempts to preserve photo metadata in processed files according to the capabilities of the output format and encoder. Metadata may change or become unavailable when restricted by the output format or Android.

History contains local processing metadata such as date, file count, output format, compression mode, and Image Size. History is stored locally and is not sent to Kolibri.

5. Storage, sharing, and deletion

Results are saved in DCIM/PicPress. PicPress always creates a new file and does not replace an existing file. You control the output files: they can be shared, opened, or deleted from the device according to the available features.

When you use Share, Android provides the output file to the target app, such as WhatsApp or email, as an attachment/document. After the file is provided, its handling is governed by the target app's own policy. PicPress does not control how the target app stores or shares the file.

To delete local PicPress data, delete output files from the device, remove history using available app features, or clear PicPress app data/uninstall PicPress through Android settings.

6. Advertising and third-party services

PicPress may display banners through Google AdMob. The AdMob SDK may process technical information such as IP address, device information, advertising identifier, diagnostics, and ad interactions according to device settings, Google Play, and Google's policies.

If AdMob does not fill a banner request, PicPress may request a house-ad list from omnutil.com/house-ads-api. The network request may carry standard technical information such as IP address and user-agent to the hosting provider. PicPress does not send image files, thumbnails, or history to that API.

See Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob privacy information for details about third-party processing.

7. Internet connection

Image selection, processing, storage, history, and Result functions work offline. Internet access is only needed for advertising services and for opening web pages such as this user guide or Privacy Policy. When the internet is unavailable, the ad slot may remain empty while core functions continue to work.

8. Security

Because images are processed locally, images do not need to be sent to a server for compression or conversion. You remain responsible for securing your device, output files, and the apps that receive files when sharing.

9. Children

PicPress is not specifically directed to children. PicPress does not knowingly collect children's personal information through its core functions.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when features, SDKs, advertising services, or Google Play requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page and the update date will be changed.
